Francis Musinguzi, a benefactor and multiple Paul Harris
Fellow, served as President of the Rotary Club of Acacia
Sunset – Kampala (RCASK) during the 2022–2023
Rotary year, bringing thoughtful leadership, strategic
direction, and a deep commitment to Rotary’s core

values.
With a passion for community development and service, Francis championed several
impactful initiatives during his tour of service (duty), including youth empowerment
campaigns (chartering and supporting RCASK’s 1 st Rotaract club, youth forums etc.),
BELEP (basic education & leadership empowerment program) campaigns, with a
focus on partnerships as a central pillar for impactful community services. His
leadership style combined vision with collaboration, empowering members to step
into service and strengthening the club’s presence both locally and internationally.
Beyond the presidency, Francis continues to be an active and valued member of the
club, mentoring new leaders, contributing to ongoing service projects and the rotary
foundation. Known for his dedication to Rotary ideals, Francis remains a pillar of
inspiration within the club. Francis has served beyond the club (D9213) and
embraces opportunities to serve the community.
Francis is an ICT professional with close to 20 years of experience in finance and the
digital transformation space. He is enthusiastic about all things ICT, collective
investment (SACCOS & investment clubs) and community service. Francis has
extensive experience in various areas of ICT, project management and digital
transformation. He holds several qualifications in the ICT field and is a voracious
learner, with a personal development goal of learning a new skill every 3 months.
He is happily married with three wonderful children. He aspires to change society and
impact lives through the application of his skills and resources, as a way of creating an amazing world.

Past President David Sempala is a charter member of Rotary Club of Acacia Sunset and served
as the Change Maker President Rotary Year 2021/2022. He has also previously served in
various as a chair Membership, Public Image, and Strategy Director as well as TRF Chair
Beyond Rotary David is an experienced Media& Communication Entrepreneur, Climate Change
defender and Sustainability Activist. Presently, he is the Chief Executive Officer/Consultant for
Royalway Media Ltd, a local Market Communications firm that he co-founded.
He holds an MBA from University of Leicester UK and Bachelors of Social Sciences of
Makerere University as well as Post graduate studies in sustainability at University of Columbia
USA.
With experience in Enterprise management, Marketing communications and media industry,
David has deeper expertise in every facet of communications, including among others:
 Marketing & Behavioral Change Communications,
 Branding & Media management,
 Advertising, special events management
He is very passionate about society’s positive transformations particularly in key areas of
Environment and Climate Change interventions. He also serves as East Africa’s Regional
Coordinator for Climate Reality Project- a global movement involved in promotion of climate
literacy and action in the world.
He is happily married to Rtn Teddy Lunkuse Sempala and they are blessed with two sons and
two daughters.

Rtn Claire Amanya Rukundo Kakeeto is a member of the Rotary Club of Acacia Sunset. She is an
incoming Assistant Governor.

She is a past president of the club and currently serves at the District as the Youth Protection Officer of
D9213. She is a member of the Paul Harris Society and is a PHF +4. Claire is also a Rotary Foundation Benefactor. She is a corporate lawyer, with working experience in Uganda, UK and Tanzania and is currently the
Managing Partner of CR Amanya Advocates and Solicitors.

She is an academician having emerged best student in Uganda Alevels and at LDC. She holds a Bachelor
of Laws from the University of Dar es Salaam, a Master of Laws from University College London and ICSA
qualification.
She is an external examiner at LDC, a board member of many companies and a business woman.

She is married to a wonderful man and is blessed with 2 children. She is an ardent supporter of Arsenal
Football Club

Kenneth Bwengye is a procurement specialist with over 15 years
experience in procurement practice and training.
Works with National identification and registration authority (NIRA) as head procurement. Has
previously worked with the same organization as senior Procurement officer. Has worked with other
organizations including UNRA, Microfinance Support Centre, National Population Council, Uganda
Prisons service and Ministry of Finance, planning and economic development
He is a consultant with Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) and an
Associate Consultant with Uganda Management Institute (UMI)
Holds an MBA from UMI, a degree in procurement and logistics management from Kyambogo
University. He is a certified professional with chartered institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS UK)
and the institute of Procurement professionals in Uganda (IPPU)
Kenneth is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Acacia Sunset Kampala. He has served and President
Elect 2016-17, President (2017-18), club Trainer (2018-19), projects chair, Sergeant at Arms among
