Project Overview
The Rotary Club of Acacia Sunset-Kampala has renovated and equipped Wattuba Health Center III in Mattuga, Wakiso district, in a bid to improve maternal and child healthcare services in the area
We conducted a joint needs assessment with the staff of the health center and identified key gaps affecting the quality of healthcare at the faciltiy and this informed our project goals.
Project Goals
- To provide a comprehensive facelift to the health center.
- To equip the maternity ward with standard delivery beds and resuscitation equipment for newborn babies.
- To intsall a water tank for the health center
- To repair leaking roofs in the health center structure
In addition to the renovations and equipping, we also planted 65 fruit tress at the health center as part of our environmental conservation efforts.
